Quality and Safety Control Engineer – Full Time (Healthcare Industry)

Job Overview

Smart Training & Sourcing Co. (SMARTCO) is seeking a highly skilled Quality and Safety Control Engineer to join our dynamic Engineering Department in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is critical in ensuring compliance with healthcare safety standards, maintaining equipment reliability, and promoting a culture of workplace safety. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in quality assurance, risk assessment, and regulatory compliance within the healthcare sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement quality control protocols to meet healthcare industry standards.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments for engineering projects.
• Ensure compliance with local and international safety regulations (e.g., ISO, OSHA).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve safety and quality issues.
• Maintain detailed documentation of safety audits, incident reports, and corrective actions.
• Train staff on safety awareness and best practices for equipment handling.
• Monitor and evaluate supplier and contractor compliance with safety policies.
• Investigate workplace incidents and recommend preventive measures.
• Stay updated on emerging safety technologies and regulatory changes.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Education: Graduation or Diploma in Engineering, Occupational Safety, or a related field.
• Experience: 5-10 years in quality control and safety engineering, preferably in healthcare.
• In-depth knowledge of safety compliance regulations (ISO 9001, ISO 45001, etc.).
• Proficiency in risk assessment methodologies and root cause analysis.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills for training and reporting.
• Certifications in safety management or quality assurance (e.g., NEBOSH, CSP) are a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with healthcare facility safety protocols.
• Familiarity with medical equipment safety standards.
• Knowledge of Saudi Arabia’s labor and safety laws.

Work Environment
