About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Quality Engineer to join our Engineering team in Bengaluru. As a Quality Engineer in the defense industry, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and compliance of our products with industry standards. This is a full-time position ideal for professionals with 3-5 years of experience in quality assurance and engineering.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement quality control processes to ensure product reliability and compliance with defense industry standards.
  • Conduct rigorous testing and inspection of materials, components, and finished products.
  • Identify defects or deviations and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues.
  • Document quality assurance activities, including test results, inspection reports, and corrective actions.
  • Ensure adherence to ISO, AS9100, or other relevant quality management systems.
  • Perform root cause analysis for quality-related failures and implement preventive measures.
  • Train and guide junior engineers and production staff on quality standards and best practices.
  • Participate in audits and regulatory compliance reviews.
  • Provide technical support for process improvements and cost-saving initiatives.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to maintain high-quality standards for raw materials and components.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.

Experience

  • 3-5 years of experience in quality engineering or quality assurance within manufacturing or defense industries.
  • Proficiency in using quality inspection tools and software (e.g., CMM, GD&T, SPC).
  • Knowledge of defense industry standards such as MIL-STD, NADCAP, or equivalent.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and quality management software.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies is a plus.
