Job Summary
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Quant Analyst to join our Engineering team in Bangalore. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of experience in quantitative analysis, strong problem-solving skills, and a passion for leveraging data to drive decision-making in the food trading and supply chain industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement quantitative models to analyze trading strategies and market trends.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize supply chain efficiency using data-driven insights.
- Analyze large datasets to identify patterns, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Conduct statistical analysis and risk assessments to support trading decisions.
- Create reports and visualizations to communicate findings to stakeholders.
- Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in quantitative analysis.
- Support the Engineering team in automating data processes and improving analytical tools.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Technical Skills
- Strong proficiency in statistical analysis, data modeling, and algorithmic trading.
- Experience with programming languages such as Python, R, or MATLAB.
- Familiarity with SQL and database management.
- Knowledge of financial markets, trading strategies, and risk management.
- Ability to work with large datasets and perform data cleaning/transformation.
Soft Skills
- Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
- Strong communication skills to present complex ideas clearly.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
Educational Requirements
- Graduation or Diploma in Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications in quantitative analysis or financial modeling are a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in the food trading or supply chain industry.
- Familiarity with machine learning techniques for predictive modeling.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS or Google Cloud for data processing.
