This full-time position is ideal for professionals with 3-5 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry, specializing in mechanical or civil engineering projects.
The successful candidate will be responsible for cost estimation, contract management, and project budgeting to ensure financial efficiency in engineering endeavors.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for Mechanical and Civil Engineering projects in the Oil & Gas sector.
- Analyze project plans, specifications, and contractual documents to assess cost implications.
- Monitor project expenditures and ensure compliance with budgetary constraints.
- Conduct site visits to verify work progress and validate quantities.
- Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders to negotiate contracts and pricing.
- Prepare and submit accurate interim and final payment applications.
- Assess variations and claims, ensuring proper documentation and financial reconciliation.
- Support the procurement team in vendor evaluation and material cost analysis.
- Maintain up-to-date records of project-related costs, contracts, and financial reports.
- Ensure adherence to industry standards, safety regulations, and legal requirements.
Qualifications & Experience
Education:
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
Experience:
- 3-5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the Oil & Gas industry.
- Proven track record in cost estimation, contract administration, and project budgeting.
- Familiarity with mechanical and civil engineering principles and construction methodologies.
- Experience working in Saudi Arabia or the Middle East is a plus.
Required Skills
- Strong analytical and numerical abilities for accurate cost estimation.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, cost management software, and industry-standard tools.
- Knowledge of FIDIC contracts and relevant legal frameworks.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, BOQs, and project specifications.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
