About the Role

Aman International HR Consultant is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time position in the thriving Oil & Gas / Petrochemical sector, requiring expertise in cost management, contract administration, and project supervision.

The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of experience in quantity surveying within the engineering department of large-scale projects. This role demands strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under tight deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze cost estimates, budgets, and tender documents for oil and gas projects
• Conduct feasibility studies and provide cost planning advice
• Evaluate contractor proposals and ensure compliance with project specifications
• Manage contract administration and valuation of construction works
• Monitor project costs and implement cost control measures
• Prepare interim valuations and final accounts
• Identify potential risks and recommend mitigation strategies
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure project financial objectives are met
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards
• Supervise junior staff and provide technical guidance

Qualifications & Requirements

Education:

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field
• Professional certification (e.g., MRICS, CIOB) is preferred

Experience:

• 5-10 years of proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industry
• Strong background in supervising projects from conception to completion
• Experience with FIDIC contracts and international project standards

Skills & Competencies:

• Excellent knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations
• Proficiency in quantity surveying software (e.g., CostX, Bluebeam)
• Advanced Excel skills for financial modeling and analysis
• Strong negotiation and communication abilities
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Attention to detail and problem-solving mindset
• Leadership skills for team supervision
