Key Responsibilities
The Rigger – 1 will be responsible for executing rigging tasks safely and efficiently in line with industry standards. Key duties include:
- Perform rigging operations for lifting and moving heavy equipment and materials on construction sites.
- Inspect and maintain rigging gear, including slings, shackles, and chains, to ensure safety compliance.
- Follow strict safety protocols and adhere to company and industry regulations.
- Collaborate with crane operators, signalers, and construction teams to ensure smooth operations.
- Assist in the assembly and disassembly of rigging equipment and structures.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to supervisors immediately.
- Support site preparations, including securing loads and ensuring stability during lifts.
Skills & Requirements
To qualify for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
Required Skills
- Proficiency in rigging techniques and equipment handling.
- Ability to read and interpret load charts and rigging plans.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols in the Oil & Gas sector.
- Physical stamina and ability to work in challenging environments.
Education & Certification
- ITI certification or equivalent vocational training in rigging or related fields.
- Additional safety certifications (e.g., OSHA, NEBOSH) are a plus.
Experience
- 1-3 years of hands-on experience in rigging, preferably in Oil & Gas or construction.
- Familiarity with rigging tools, machinery, and best practices.
Work Environment
The Rigger – 1 will work in a high-energy construction site in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Key aspects of the work environment include:
