International Overseas Consultants, a prominent leader in the Oil & Gas sector, is actively seeking a skilled and certified Rigger (Level II) to join our dynamic operations team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Job Overview & Key Responsibilities
As a Rigger Level II, you will play a critical role in our lifting and rigging operations within the Oil & Gas industry. You will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement, positioning, and securing of heavy equipment and materials on our construction and operational sites. Your expertise will be vital in ensuring all rigging activities comply with stringent safety standards and project specifications.
Primary Duties and Essential Functions
- Execute complex lifting plans and rigging studies for heavy equipment and structural components.
- Inspect, maintain, and prepare all rigging equipment, including slings, shackles, hoists, and blocks, to ensure they are safe for use and meet operational requirements.
- Select appropriate rigging gear based on load weight, size, and shape, and calculate load capacities to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Direct crane operators using standardized hand signals or radio communication during lifting operations to ensure precise and safe movement of loads.
- Assemble and dismantle temporary structures, such as scaffolding and hoists, needed for construction and maintenance projects.
- Secure loads to construction equipment, such as cranes and excavators, using chains, cables, and winches, ensuring perfect balance and security.
- Work closely with engineers, crane operators, and other construction personnel to coordinate lifts and ensure seamless workflow on site.
- Rig and move loads around obstacles and in confined spaces, employing advanced rigging techniques and problem-solving skills.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies, procedures, and OSHA standards, participating in daily toolbox talks and safety meetings.
- Complete pre-use and periodic inspections of all rigging hardware and report any defects or issues immediately to the supervisor.
Candidate Requirements & Qualifications
To be successful in this Rigger II role, you must possess a combination of formal education, relevant certifications, and proven practical experience in a demanding construction environment, preferably within the Oil & Gas or heavy industrial sectors.
Mandatory Qualifications
- Education: A minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent is required. A Graduation/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related vocational field is highly preferred.
- Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years of continuous, documented experience as a Rigger
