Job Description: Rigger (Full-Time)

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Rigger to join our construction team in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of hands-on experience in load handling, rigging operations, and heavy equipment movement within the construction industry. This role is critical to ensuring the safe and efficient lifting, positioning, and securing of materials and equipment on-site.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect and prepare loads for lifting, ensuring all rigging equipment (slings, cables, pulleys) is in safe working condition.
• Operate hoists, cranes, and other lifting devices to move heavy materials and equipment safely.
• Collaborate with construction teams to plan and execute rigging operations in compliance with safety regulations.
• Secure loads using appropriate knots, hitches, and fastening techniques to prevent shifting during transport.
• Maintain accurate records of rigging equipment inspections and report any defects or hazards immediately.
• Follow OSHA and company safety protocols to minimize risks during lifting operations.
• Assist in assembling and disassembling cranes, scaffolding, and other temporary structures as needed.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate rigging tasks efficiently.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Education: ITI certification or equivalent in a relevant field (e.g., Mechanical, Civil, or Construction Trade).
• Experience: 3-5 years of proven experience as a Rigger in the construction industry.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in load handling, knot tying, and operating rigging equipment (e.g., hoists, cranes).
• Safety Knowledge: Thorough understanding of OSHA and industry safety standards for rigging operations.
• Physical Fitness: Ability to lift heavy objects and work in physically demanding environments.
• Attention to Detail: Strong focus on safety and precision when handling loads.
• Communication: Clear verbal and written communication skills in English (Arabic is a plus).

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification in rigging or crane operations from a recognized institute.
• Experience working on large-scale construction projects in the UAE or GCC region.
• Familiarity with advanced rigging techniques and specialized lifting equipment.

Work Environment

This is a full-time, on-site position in Abu Dhabi City. The role involves working outdoors in various weather conditions and may require overtime or weekend shifts depending on project deadlines. Safety gear and protective equipment will be provided, and adherence to strict safety protocols is mandatory.
