Key Responsibilities
As a Rigger in the Oil & Gas industry, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Assembling and disassembling rigging equipment, including slings, shackles, and hoists.
- Inspecting and maintaining rigging gear to ensure safety and compliance with industry standards.
- Assisting in lifting, moving, and positioning heavy loads using cranes, winches, and other machinery.
- Working closely with crane operators and construction teams to execute rigging plans safely.
- Following safety protocols and adhering to workplace regulations in high-risk environments.
- Reading and interpreting rigging diagrams, load charts, and technical specifications.
- Participating in onsite training and safety briefings.
Skills and Qualifications
To be considered for this Rigger position, candidates must meet the following criteria:
Required Skills
- Basic knowledge of rigging techniques and equipment.
- Understanding of safety procedures in construction and Oil & Gas environments.
- Physical stamina and ability to work in demanding conditions.
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
Education & Certifications
- Diploma or Graduation in a relevant field (preferred but not mandatory).
- Rigging certification or training (a plus).
Experience
- 0–1 year of experience in rigging, construction, or related fields.
- Freshers with relevant training may apply.
Work Environment
This position involves working in an onshore Oil & Gas project site in Abu Dhabi. The role requires:
- Working in outdoor environments with exposure to varying weather conditions.
- Adherence to strict safety guidelines and PPE requirements.
- Willingness to work in shifts, including weekends if required.
