Rigger Job in Qatar – Oil & Gas Industry (Full-Time)

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Rigger to join our Operations team in Doha, Qatar. This full-time position in the Oil & Gas / Engineering & Construction industry requires a professional with at least 3-5 years of hands-on rigging experience. The ideal candidate will hold an ITI certification and possess deep knowledge of rigging safety protocols and equipment handling.

Location: Old Airport, Doha, Ad Dawhah (Doha), Qatar

Salary Range: 2-4 LPA (Negotiable based on experience)

Key Responsibilities

As a Rigger, your primary duties will include:

• Inspecting, preparing, and operating rigging equipment, including slings, shackles, and hoists.
• Ensuring all rigging operations comply with safety regulations and industry standards.
• Coordinating with crane operators, engineers, and construction teams to move heavy materials safely.
• Performing load calculations to determine appropriate rigging configurations.
• Maintaining and inspecting rigging gear to ensure optimal functionality and safety.
• Assisting in lifting and positioning heavy machinery and structural components at construction or drilling sites.
• Following risk assessment protocols and reporting hazards to supervisors.
• Training junior riggers on best practices and safety measures.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Education: ITI certification or equivalent technical training in rigging.
• Experience: 3-5 years of professional rigging experience, preferably in the Oil & Gas or Engineering & Construction sectors.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in using rigging tools, load charts, and lifting equipment.
• Safety Knowledge: Strong awareness of OSHA or equivalent safety standards.
• Physical Fitness: Ability to work in demanding environments, lift heavy loads, and stand for extended periods.
• Communication: Fluent in English (verbal and written); Arabic is a plus.
• Teamwork: Collaborative mindset with problem-solving abilities.

Working Conditions

This position involves:

• On-site work (No remote options).
• Exposure to outdoor and industrial environments, including extreme heat, noise, and heights.
• Shift-based schedules, including overtime or weekends as needed.
• Strict adherence to PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) policies.
