Job Description: Riggers

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Rigger with 5-10 years of expertise in the Oil & Gas industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of heavy equipment, machinery, and materials on-site. This role requires a high level of technical knowledge, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work in a dynamic environment.

This is an on-site position based in Al-Faiha’, Kuwait, and requires compliance with industry regulations and company policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and execute the lifting and rigging of heavy machinery and equipment according to project specifications.
• Inspect rigging equipment (slings, chains, hoists, and cranes) to ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Work closely with engineers, crane operators, and construction teams to ensure safe load movements.
• Follow strict safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries on-site.
• Calculate load weights, center of gravity, and rigging requirements for complex lifts.
• Operate and maintain rigging tools and machinery in optimal condition.
• Coordinate with logistics teams to ensure timely transportation of materials.
• Provide training and guidance to junior riggers as needed.
• Document all rigging activities, including inspections and incident reports.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education & Certification

• ITI Certification or equivalent vocational training in Rigging, Mechanical, or a related field.
• Certification from recognized institutions in Rigging and Lifting Operations.
• Valid safety training certificates (e.g., OSHA, NEBOSH, or equivalent).

Experience

• 5-10 years of hands-on experience as a Rigger in the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industry.
• Proven track record of working with cranes, hoists, and heavy machinery.
• Experience in offshore or refinery projects is a plus.

Skills & Abilities

• Proficient in reading engineering drawings and load charts.
• Strong understanding of physics related to load dynamics.
• Ability to work under pressure in extreme weather conditions.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Physical stamina and strength to handle manual labor.
