Rigger Job – Oil & Gas Construction (3-5 Years Experience)

Asiapower Overseas Employment Services is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Rigger to join our Oil & Gas Construction team in Muscat, Oman. Key Responsibilities

• Perform rigging operations to lift, move, and position heavy equipment, machinery, and materials safely.
• Inspect and maintain rigging equipment, including slings, chains, hooks, and cables, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
• Collaborate with crane operators and construction teams to plan and execute lifts efficiently.
• Follow rigging plans and blueprints to ensure precise placement of loads.
• Adhere to industry safety regulations and company policies to minimize workplace hazards.
• Conduct pre-lift inspections and risk assessments to identify potential issues.
• Assist in the assembly and disassembly of rigging equipment as needed.
• Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to supervisors immediately.
• Train and mentor junior riggers and construction personnel on best practices.
• Maintain accurate records of rigging operations and equipment inspections.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Essential Skills:

• Proven experience in rigging operations within the Oil & Gas or Construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of rigging techniques, equipment, and load calculations.
• Ability to interpret rigging plans and engineering drawings.
• Familiarity with OSHA, ANSI, or other international rigging safety standards.
• Physical stamina and ability to work in challenging environments (heat, heights, confined spaces).
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Education & Certifications:

• Diploma or Graduation in a relevant field (Engineering, Construction, or related discipline).
• Certification in rigging or lifting operations from a recognized institution is preferred.
• Valid safety training certificates (e.g., OSHA, NEBOSH) are a plus.

Work Environment & Benefits
