Key Responsibilities and Daily Duties
As a Rigger with our team in Riyadh, you will be entrusted with a wide array of critical tasks essential to the success of our construction and maintenance operations. Your primary focus will be on the safe and efficient movement of heavy machinery, structural components, and materials.
- Interpret and meticulously execute lifting plans, blueprints, and rigging drawings for complex project requirements.
- Conduct thorough pre-use inspections of all rigging gear, including slings, shackles, hoists, hooks, and blocks, ensuring they meet all safety and load-bearing specifications.
- Calculate load weights, centers of gravity, and determine the optimal rigging configuration for each lift to guarantee stability and control.
- Skillfully select, attach, and detach appropriate lifting gear to various loads, employing correct hitches (e.g., choke, basket, vertical) for the specific task.
- Direct crane and hoist operators using standardized hand signals and radio communication to guide the precise placement of heavy equipment and materials.
- Erect and dismantle temporary structures such as scaffolding and lifting platforms as required for specific rigging tasks.
- Rig and move loads in confined spaces and at heights, adhering to all fall protection protocols and permit-to-work systems.
- Maintain constant awareness of the work environment, identifying and mitigating potential hazards like power lines, uneven ground, or inadequate space.
- Collaborate closely with crane operators, supervisors, and other construction personnel to ensure seamless and coordinated project execution.
- Uphouse a strict regimen of equipment maintenance, promptly reporting any defects or damage for repair or replacement.
- Adhere rigorously to all company safety policies, JSA (Job Safety Analysis) procedures, and international Oil & Gas industry regulations.
