Key Responsibilities and Daily Duties
As a Rigging Supervisor at ITL, you will be at the heart of our construction and installation operations. Your expertise will be critical in planning, coordinating, and executing all rigging and heavy lifting activities. Operational Planning & Execution
- Develop comprehensive lift plans and rigging studies for complex heavy equipment and structural components.
- Determine the appropriate rigging equipment, including slings, shackles, hoists, and cranes, for each specific task.
- Oversee the setup and configuration of all rigging gear, ensuring it is within safe working load limits and certified for use.
- Direct the movement of materials and equipment through congested or challenging site conditions.
- Coordinate closely with crane operators, signalmen, and construction crews to execute lifts safely and efficiently.
Team Leadership & Supervision
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of riggers and rigging assistants, providing clear direction and task assignments.
- Conduct daily toolbox talks and pre-task safety meetings to discuss job hazards and control measures.
- Monitor team performance, ensuring all work is performed in accordance with project specifications and quality standards.
- Foster a proactive safety culture where every team member feels responsible for their own safety and that of their colleagues.
Safety & Compliance Management
- Enforce strict adherence to company HSE policies, international rigging standards, and local Saudi Arabian regulations.
- Perform regular inspections of all rigging hardware and equipment, documenting findings and removing defective gear from service.
- Conduct thorough site inspections to identify potential hazards and implement effective control measures.
- Investigate any incidents, near-misses, or safety violations and report findings to the HSE and Construction Managers.
- Maintain accurate logs and documentation for all rigging operations, equipment certifications, and personnel training.
Technical Consultation & Problem-Solving
- Serve as the technical expert on all rigging and lifting matters for the project team.
- Provide solutions for unconventional or particularly challenging lifts.
- Liaise with engineers and project planners to ensure rigging considerations are integrated into the project schedule.
Rigging Supervisor Requirements and Qualifications
