Road Foreman - Construction Project Leadership Role

Job Overview

Reliable Overseas Employment Services is seeking an experienced Road Foreman to oversee and manage road construction projects in the Al Olaya district of Riyadh. This critical leadership role requires a proven track record in construction management, with specific expertise in road infrastructure development. The ideal candidate will possess 5-10 years of relevant experience and demonstrate strong capabilities in team supervision, project coordination, and quality assurance.

Key Responsibilities

As a Road Foreman, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of road construction projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, and within budget. Your duties will include:

Project Management & Supervision

• Directly supervise and coordinate activities of construction workers and equipment operators
• Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to design specifications, building codes, and safety regulations
• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine construction requirements
• Schedule and coordinate construction phases to meet deadlines
• Manage material procurement and inventory control for construction projects

Quality Control & Assurance

• Inspect work progress, equipment, and construction sites to ensure safety standards and quality specifications are met
• Implement quality control procedures for road construction materials and methodologies
• Coordinate with engineers, inspectors, and other professionals to ensure compliance with project requirements
• Maintain accurate daily logs of construction activities, including manpower, equipment, and materials used

Safety Compliance & Team Leadership

• Enforce strict safety protocols and procedures to maintain a zero-accident work environment
• Conduct regular safety meetings and training sessions for construction crew members
• Resolve work problems and recommend measures to improve productivity
• Train workers in construction methods, operation of equipment, and safety procedures
• Manage workforce scheduling, task allocation, and performance monitoring

Requirements & Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this Road Foreman position will possess the following qualifications and attributes:

Education & Certification

• Graduation/Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
• Certification in Construction Safety (OSHA, NEBOSH, or equivalent)
• Additional certifications in road construction methodologies or project management are highly desirable

Experience & Skills

• 5-10 years of progressive experience in road construction with at least 3 years in a supervisory capacity
• Comprehensive knowledge of construction techniques, tools, and equipment used in road building
• Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints, structural drawings, and technical specifications
• Strong understanding of construction safety protocols and regulations
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions under pressure
• Proficiency in construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite
