About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Rotating Mechanical Lead to join our Mechanical Engineering department in the Nuclear Energy/Power Generation sector. This role is critical in ensuring the reliability, maintenance, and optimization of rotating mechanical equipment within our facilities.
The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of hands-on experience in mechanical engineering, with a focus on rotating machinery such as pumps, compressors, turbines, and related systems. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the inspection, maintenance, and troubleshooting of rotating mechanical equipment in a nuclear power plant.
- Oversee the installation, alignment, and commissioning of pumps, compressors, turbines, and other rotating machinery.
- Develop and enforce maintenance procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers and operations personnel, to optimize equipment performance.
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for mechanical failures and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure documentation of maintenance activities, equipment logs, and regulatory compliance reports.
- Supervise junior engineers and technicians, providing technical guidance and training.
- Monitor equipment vibrations, temperatures, and other performance metrics to predict and prevent failures.
- Source and evaluate spare parts, ensuring quality and availability for critical machinery.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Technical Skills
- Strong understanding of rotating mechanical systems, including pumps, turbines, and compressors.
- Proficiency in mechanical maintenance, alignment, and vibration analysis.
- Experience with condition monitoring tools and predictive maintenance techniques.
- Knowledge of nuclear safety standards and regulatory compliance (e.g., ASME, ANSI, ISO).
- Familiarity with CAD software for mechanical design and schematics is a plus.
Soft Skills
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in a high-stakes nuclear energy environment.

Education & Experience
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience in rotating mechanical equipment, preferably in power generation or nuclear energy.
- Certifications in vibration analysis, machinery alignment, or maintenance management are advantageous.
