Safety Engineer Job Description

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Safety Engineer to join our team in Kuwait City. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations within our facility management and maintenance operations. Your expertise will help mitigate risks, implement safety protocols, and foster a culture of workplace safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive safety policies and procedures in compliance with local and international standards.
• Conduct regular risk assessments, safety audits, and inspections of facilities and equipment.
• Investigate workplace accidents, incidents, and near-misses, and recommend corrective actions.
• Train employees on safety awareness, emergency response, and proper use of protective equipment.
• Collaborate with engineering and management teams to integrate safety measures into project planning.
• Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and training sessions.
• Ensure compliance with Kuwaiti occupational safety laws and industry best practices.
• Coordinate with external regulatory bodies and auditors for facility safety certifications.
• Stay updated on emerging safety technologies, regulations, and industry trends.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Essential Skills:

• Strong knowledge of HSE regulations and industry standards.
• Proficiency in risk assessment methodologies and hazard identification.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Ability to conduct effective safety training sessions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Education & Experience:

• Graduation or Diploma in Occupational Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5-10 years of proven experience as a Safety Engineer, preferably in facility management or industrial settings.
• Certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or OSHA are highly desirable.
• Familiarity with Kuwaiti safety regulations is a plus.

Work Environment

This is an on-site position based in Kaifan, Kuwait City. The role may require occasional travel to other facilities or project sites within Kuwait. You will work closely with engineers, technicians, and management to ensure a safe and compliant workplace.
