Our Project Management Consultancy is seeking an experienced Safety Officer/Engineer to join our team in the Construction industry. This full-time role is critical for ensuring compliance with safety regulations and maintaining a hazard-free work environment across multiple projects in Pan India. The position is based in Whitefield, Bangalore, Karnataka, India, and requires 5-10 years of hands-on experience in construction safety management.

Key Responsibilities

As a Safety Officer/Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding personnel, equipment, and project sites. Your duties will include:

• Conducting regular safety audits and inspections at construction sites to identify potential hazards.
• Developing and implementing site-specific safety policies and procedures compliant with local and national regulations.
• Organizing safety training sessions for workers, supervisors, and management on best practices and emergency protocols.
• Investigating workplace incidents, preparing detailed reports, and recommending corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Ensuring proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and monitoring adherence to safety guidelines.
• Maintaining accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and training sessions for regulatory compliance.
• Collaborating with project managers and contractors to integrate safety measures into project plans.
• Keeping up-to-date with industry safety standards, legal requirements, and technological advancements.

Required Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• Education: Graduation or Diploma in Engineering, Occupational Safety, or a related field.
• Experience: 5-10 years in safety management within the construction industry.
• Certifications: Relevant safety certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA) are highly desirable.
• Skills: Strong safety awareness, risk assessment, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Knowledge: Thorough understanding of construction safety regulations, hazard control, and emergency response procedures.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to conduct site inspections, including navigating uneven terrain and climbing ladders when necessary.
