Job Overview
Mivian Indoglobal Management Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a dedicated and experienced Safety Officer to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role is critical for ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations in the Oil & Gas and Engineering & Construction sectors. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in safety protocols, risk assessments, and emergency response planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive safety policies and procedures in compliance with local and international HSE standards.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections at project sites to identify hazards and ensure corrective actions are taken.
- Organize and deliver safety training programs for employees and contractors to enhance safety awareness.
- Investigate workplace incidents, accidents, and near-misses, and prepare detailed reports with recommendations for improvement.
- Monitor the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure all personnel adhere to safety guidelines.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to integrate safety measures into project planning and execution.
- Maintain up-to-date records of safety inspections, incident reports, and compliance documentation.
- Stay updated with industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in occupational health and safety.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Education:
- Graduation or Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
- Certification in NEBOSH, IOSH, or OSHA is highly preferred.
Experience:
- 3-5 years of experience as a Safety Officer in the Oil & Gas or Engineering & Construction industry.
- Proven track record in implementing HSE management systems and conducting risk assessments.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations (OSHA, ISO 45001, etc.) and industry best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for training and reporting.
- Ability to work in high-pressure environments and manage emergency situations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in Saudi Arabia or the Middle East region.
- Familiarity with process safety management (PSM) in Oil & Gas projects.
- Proficiency in safety management software and reporting tools.
