Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Safety Officer to join our HSE team in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing, monitoring, and enforcing safety protocols to ensure compliance with industry regulations. This role is critical in maintaining a hazard-free workplace in the Oil & Gas and Engineering & Construction sectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments at project sites.
• Develop and enforce safety policies and procedures in compliance with local and international standards.
• Provide safety training and awareness programs for employees and contractors.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses to identify root causes and preventive measures.
• Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and training sessions.
• Coordinate with site managers and supervisors to ensure adherence to safety protocols.
• Ensure all safety equipment is properly maintained and readily available.
• Monitor compliance with occupational health and environmental regulations.
• Prepare and submit HSE reports to management and regulatory authorities.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Education: Graduation or Diploma in Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, or related field.
• Experience: 3-5 years of experience as a Safety Officer in the Oil & Gas or Engineering & Construction industry.
• Certifications: NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA, or equivalent HSE certifications are preferred.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in risk assessment, incident investigation, and safety audits.
• Soft Skills: Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
• Safety Awareness: In-depth knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.
• Computer Skills: Familiarity with Microsoft Office and HSE management software.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in the UAE or GCC region.
• Knowledge of ISO 45001 and other international safety standards.
• Fluency in English; Arabic is a plus.

Work Environment

This position is based in Abu Dhabi and involves working in both office and field settings. The role may require occasional travel to project sites and exposure to outdoor conditions in the Oil & Gas and Engineering & Construction sectors.
