Key Responsibilities
The Safety Technician will be responsible for implementing and monitoring safety procedures to ensure a hazard-free work environment. Key duties include:
- Conducting regular safety inspections and audits at job sites.
- Identifying potential hazards and recommending corrective actions.
- Ensuring compliance with local and international safety regulations.
- Assisting in the development of safety training programs for employees.
- Maintaining accurate records of safety incidents and reports.
- Investigating workplace accidents and recommending preventive measures.
- Collaborating with management to improve safety policies.
- Providing safety briefings to employees and contractors.
- Ensuring proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Required Skills & Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess the following skills and qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience as a Safety Technician in Oil & Gas or Construction.
- Strong knowledge of HSE regulations and industry standards.
- Certification in Occupational Safety (e.g., OSHA, NEBOSH) is a plus.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in high-risk environments.
- Proficiency in preparing safety reports and documentation.
- Knowledge of emergency response protocols.
- Diploma or degree in a relevant field.
Work Environment
This position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and requires on-site presence at project locations in Al Malaz. The role involves working in outdoor environments, construction sites, and industrial facilities. Candidates should be prepared for occasional travel to remote job sites.
