Job Overview

We are seeking skilled and experienced Sand Blasters to join our operations team in the Oil & Gas industry. This role is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and requires expertise in surface cleaning and abrasive blasting techniques. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of hands-on experience, a diploma or graduation in a relevant field, and a strong commitment to workplace safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform abrasive blasting (sandblasting) on various surfaces to remove rust, paint, and other contaminants.
• Operate and maintain blasting equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety compliance.
• Prepare surfaces for coating, welding, or other treatments by cleaning and profiling.
• Follow strict safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and environmental regulations.
• Inspect and evaluate surface conditions before and after blasting to ensure quality standards.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to complete projects efficiently.
• Document work processes, including material usage and project progress.
• Assist in troubleshooting equipment issues and performing routine maintenance.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in surface cleaning and abrasive blasting techniques.
• Ability to operate blasting equipment, including pressure pots and nozzles.
• Strong attention to detail and quality control.
• Knowledge of workplace safety standards and hazard mitigation.
• Physical stamina to work in demanding environments (e.g., confined spaces, heights).

Education & Experience

• Diploma or Graduation in a relevant technical field (e.g., Mechanical, Industrial, or Automotive).
• 3-5 years of experience as a Sand Blaster in the Oil & Gas or related industries.
• Certification in abrasive blasting or surface preparation is a plus.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

This role involves working in industrial settings, often outdoors or in confined spaces. Candidates must be prepared for:

• Exposure to loud noises, dust, and varying weather conditions.
• Lifting heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs) and standing for extended periods.
• Adherence to strict safety protocols, including respirator use and protective gear.
