Key Responsibilities & Duties
As a Sandblaster in the demanding Oil & Gas environment, your primary duty will be to prepare metal surfaces for coating and treatment to prevent corrosion and extend the lifespan of critical infrastructure. Your day-to-day tasks will require precision, a strong attention to detail, and an unwavering commitment to safety protocols.

- Effectively contain and manage blasting waste and abrasives in accordance with environmental regulations.
- Interpret project specifications and technical drawings to determine the correct blasting abrasive, pressure, and technique for each task.
- Conduct pre-operational checks on all equipment and report any mechanical issues or safety hazards to the supervisor immediately.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area within the blasting zone and associated facilities.
- Wear and maintain all required personal protective equipment (PPE), including supplied-air respirators, blast helmets, protective suits, and gloves.

Experience & Skills
- A minimum of 5-10 years of proven professional experience as a Sandblaster, specifically within the Oil & Gas, petrochemical, or heavy industrial sectors.

- Strong mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting and performing basic maintenance on blasting and compression equipment.
- Physical fitness and stamina to work long hours in a demanding environment, often in extreme weather conditions, while wearing cumbersome PPE.
- Ability to work effectively both independently with minimal supervision and as a cohesive part of a larger maintenance team.
