Key Responsibilities & Duties

As our Scaffolding Supervisor-I, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of scaffolding operations at our project sites. Your expertise will be critical in maintaining the structural integrity and safety of all temporary work platforms.

Scaffolding Operations Management

• Plan, coordinate, and supervise the erection, alteration, and dismantling of all types of scaffolding structures including tube and fitting, system scaffolding, and suspended systems
• Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to determine appropriate scaffolding requirements for complex oil and gas construction projects
• Calculate load capacities and ensure scaffolding structures can safely support intended loads including personnel, equipment, and materials
• Manage inventory of scaffolding equipment, ensuring proper maintenance, inspection, and certification of all components
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other construction supervisors to align scaffolding activities with overall project timelines

Safety & Compliance Oversight

• Implement and enforce strict safety protocols in accordance with company policies, OSHA standards, and Saudi Arabian regulatory requirements
• Conduct regular safety inspections and audits of scaffolding structures, identifying potential hazards and implementing corrective actions
• Ensure all scaffolding work complies with relevant codes, standards, and best practices in the oil and gas industry
• Investigate any scaffolding-related incidents or near-misses and prepare detailed reports with recommendations for prevention
• Maintain comprehensive documentation including inspection records, work permits, and equipment certifications

Team Leadership & Development

• Supervise, mentor, and train scaffolding crews, ensuring proper techniques and safety procedures are followed at all times
• Schedule work assignments and manage crew productivity to meet project milestones and deadlines
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members
• Foster a culture of safety excellence and continuous improvement within the scaffolding team
• Resolve any personnel issues or conflicts that may arise within the team

Quality Assurance

• Perform quality checks on completed scaffolding structures to ensure they meet design specifications and safety standards
• Implement quality control procedures for scaffolding materials and equipment
• Coordinate with quality assurance departments to address any non-conformance issues
• Ensure proper storage and handling of scaffolding materials to prevent damage and deterioration

Qualifications & Requirements

To excel in this Scaffolding Supervisor-I position, candidates must meet the following criteria:

Education & Certification

• Diploma or Graduation in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
• Advanced certification in scaffolding from a recognized institution (CISRS, OSHA, or equivalent)
• Certification in safety management (NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent) preferred
• Rigging and signaling certifications are highly desirable

Experience & Technical Skills

• Minimum 5-10 years of progressive experience in scaffolding operations within the oil and gas industry
• Proven experience as a Scaffolding Supervisor or similar leadership role on major industrial projects
• Extensive knowledge of scaffolding design principles, materials, and erection techniques
• Familiarity with relevant software for scaffolding design and project management
• Strong understanding of structural mechanics and load calculations
