Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties

As a Scaffolding Supervisor, you will be at the forefront of our maintenance operations, ensuring all scaffolding activities are executed flawlessly. Your expertise will be critical in upholding the structural integrity and safety of work platforms across our petrochemical facilities.

Operational Leadership & Supervision

  • Lead, direct, and supervise a team of scaffolding laborers and technicians on daily site operations.
  • Plan, coordinate, and assign tasks related to the erection, alteration, and dismantling of various scaffolding structures including tube and fitting, system scaffolds, and suspended systems.
  • Interpret technical drawings, design plans, and work orders to ensure accurate and compliant scaffold construction.
  • Conduct thorough site inspections and risk assessments prior to commencing any scaffolding work.
  • Manage inventory and control the issuance of scaffolding materials, equipment, and tools to ensure optimal stock levels and prevent project delays.

Safety & Compliance Management

  • Enforce a zero-incident culture by strictly adhering to and promoting all company and client-specific Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures.
  • Conduct daily toolbox talks and safety briefings with the crew, focusing on hazard identification, mitigation strategies, and safe work practices.
  • Ensure all erected scaffolding is fully compliant with international standards (e.g., OSHA, SG4:15) and undergoes rigorous inspection and tagging (green, yellow, red tag system) before use.
  • Investigate any near misses, incidents, or accidents related to scaffolding activities and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Maintain comprehensive and accurate daily records, including inspection reports, job cards, and crew attendance.

Quality Assurance & Technical Expertise

  • Guarantee that all scaffolding structures are built to the highest quality standards, capable of supporting designated loads and providing safe access for workers.
  • Provide technical guidance and on-the-job training to junior crew members, fostering skill development and knowledge sharing.
  • Liaise with clients, engineers, and other construction supervisors to coordinate scaffolding activities seamlessly within the broader project schedule.
  • Identify and recommend improvements to scaffolding processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve safety outcomes.

Requirements & Qualifications
