Key Responsibilities & Duties

As a Scheduler in our Testing department, you will be entrusted with a range of critical functions that ensure the seamless execution of our Oil & Gas projects:

Project Scheduling & Planning

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules using industry-standard scheduling software
  • Create work breakdown structures (WBS) that align with project objectives and deliverables
  • Establish realistic timelines for all project phases, from initiation to completion
  • Implement critical path method (CPM) scheduling to identify key project milestones
  • Coordinate with project managers to define activities, sequences, dependencies, and constraints

Estimation & Resource Management

  • Perform detailed estimation of project durations, resource requirements, and costs
  • Develop resource-loaded schedules to optimize manpower and equipment allocation
  • Analyze historical data and productivity rates to improve estimation accuracy
  • Forecast resource needs based on project timelines and scope requirements
  • Monitor and control resource utilization against project baselines

Progress Monitoring & Reporting

  • Track project progress against established schedules and milestones
  • Identify schedule variances and recommend corrective actions
  • Prepare and present detailed schedule status reports to stakeholders
  • Conduct schedule risk analysis and develop mitigation strategies
  • Maintain schedule version control and document all changes

Coordination & Communication

  • Liaise with various departments to gather schedule input and updates
  • Facilit schedule review meetings with project teams and stakeholders
  • Communicate schedule impacts and proposed changes to all relevant parties
  • Coordinate with cost engineers to ensure alignment between schedule and budget
  • Interface with clients regarding schedule performance and deliverables

Qualifications & Requirements

Education & Certification

  • Graduation/Diploma in Engineering, Project Management, or related field
  • Professional certification in project scheduling (e.g., PMI-SP, PSP) preferred
  • Additional certifications in project management are highly desirable

Experience Requirements

  • 5-10 years of progressive experience in project scheduling within the Oil & Gas industry
  • Proven expertise in estimation techniques and methodologies
  • Demonstrated experience in the Testing department of Oil & Gas projects
  • Extensive knowledge of scheduling software (Primavera P6, MS Project, etc.)
  • Experience working on projects in Saudi Arabia or the Middle East region is advantageous
