Job Overview and Position Details

Our Semi Fitters are integral members of our construction and fabrication teams, responsible for assisting in the assembly, installation, and maintenance of structural components and equipment. This position is based in our Al Majaz, Sharjah facility with projects across Dubai, providing diverse work experiences in one of the world's most dynamic construction markets. The role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety protocols in all operations.

Key Responsibilities and Daily Duties

As a Semi Fitter with Royal Rich HR, your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of tasks within our welding and fabrication department:

Fabrication and Assembly Support

• Assist in measuring, cutting, and shaping metal components according to technical specifications and blueprints
• Provide support in assembling structural frameworks and metal components using appropriate tools and equipment
• Help position and secure workpieces during fabrication processes using clamps, jigs, and other holding devices
• Assist skilled fitters and welders in preparing materials for welding operations, including cleaning and grinding surfaces
• Support the installation of fabricated components at construction sites, ensuring proper alignment and positioning

Equipment Operation and Maintenance

• Operate basic fabrication tools and equipment under supervision, including grinders, drills, and cutting torches
• Assist in maintaining tools and equipment, performing basic cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance
• Help transport materials and equipment between work areas using appropriate lifting techniques and equipment
• Support inventory management by organizing materials and reporting shortages or equipment issues to supervisors

Quality and Safety Compliance

• Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
• Assist in inspecting completed work for defects and ensuring compliance with quality standards
• Maintain clean and organized work areas to prevent accidents and improve efficiency
• Participate in safety meetings and training sessions to enhance awareness and prevent workplace incidents

Qualifications and Experience Requirements

Education and Certification

• Higher Secondary certificate or equivalent educational qualification
• Basic certification in welding, fabrication, or related field is preferred but not mandatory
• Safety training certificates (OSHA, NEBOSH, or equivalent) will be considered an advantage

Professional Experience

• 1-3 years of experience as a Semi Fitter, Fitter Helper, or similar role in the construction industry
• Familiarity with welding and fabrication processes, tools, and equipment
• Experience working on construction sites in Dubai or UAE is highly desirable
• Background in structural steel fabrication, pipe fitting, or mechanical assembly is beneficial

Required Skills and Competencies

• Ability to provide reliable support to senior fitters and welding professionals
• Basic understanding of technical drawings, blueprints, and measurement tools
• Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects (up to 25kg) and work in various weather conditions
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work
