Ship Maintenance Engineers (Oil & Gas / Engineering & Construction)

About the Role

AARVI ENCON LIMITED is seeking experienced Ship Maintenance Engineers to join our dynamic Engineering team in Abu Dhabi. This full-time role is critical for ensuring the operational efficiency and safety of marine vessels in the Oil & Gas sector. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of hands-on experience in ship maintenance, a strong technical background, and the ability to troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical systems.

Job Responsibilities

• Conduct routine and preventive maintenance on marine vessels, including engine systems, propulsion, and auxiliary equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic failures in ship systems.
• Perform inspections and ensure compliance with maritime safety regulations (ISM, SOLAS, MARPOL).
• Coordinate with procurement teams to source spare parts and manage inventory.
• Liaise with external vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and upgrades.
• Document maintenance activities, prepare reports, and update maintenance logs.
• Assist in dry-docking activities, including hull inspections and repairs.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues to minimize vessel downtime.
• Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and crew members.
• Monitor fuel consumption, emissions, and operational efficiency.

Skills & Qualifications

Required Skills

• Proficiency in mechanical and electrical maintenance of marine systems.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Knowledge of maritime safety and environmental regulations.
• Experience with diesel engines, propulsion systems, and hydraulic equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification in Marine Engineering or a related field.
• Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
• Experience working in the Oil & Gas or Offshore industry.

Education & Experience

• Education Level: Graduation/Diploma in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Experience Level: 3-5 years of hands-on experience in ship maintenance or marine engineering.
