Job Description: Structure Erector

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Structure Erector to join our construction and maintenance team in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in erecting and assembling structural components in construction projects. This role requires expertise in maintenance, assembly, and safety compliance while working with steel, concrete, and other structural materials.

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble and erect structural frameworks, including steel beams, columns, and trusses.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to determine assembly procedures.
• Operate heavy machinery such as cranes, forklifts, and hoists to lift and position structural components.
• Ensure all structures are assembled according to safety regulations and engineering specifications.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on structural components as needed.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and construction teams to ensure project accuracy.
• Inspect completed structures for stability, alignment, and compliance with building codes.
• Adhere to workplace safety protocols and report any hazards or incidents immediately.

Requirements

Education & Experience

• Education Level: ITI certification or equivalent in a relevant field.
• Experience Level: 3-5 years of hands-on experience in structural erection or related construction work.
• Previous experience in steel or concrete structure assembly is highly preferred.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in maintenance and repair of structural components.
• Ability to operate construction machinery (cranes, forklifts, hoists).
• Strong understanding of safety regulations and building codes.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Physical stamina and ability to work in challenging environments (heights, confined spaces).
• Basic knowledge of welding and metal fabrication is a plus.
