Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Spray Painter to join our client's team in Abu Dhabi, working within the Oil & Gas Construction sector. The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of hands-on experience in industrial painting, with a strong understanding of surface preparation, coating application, and safety protocols. This full-time position offers a competitive salary of 10-15 LPA and the opportunity to work on high-profile projects in the UAE.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces (metal, concrete, etc.) for painting by cleaning, sanding, and applying primers.
• Operate spray painting equipment to apply industrial-grade coatings to structural components, pipelines, and machinery.
• Mix paints, thinners, and other materials to achieve desired consistency and color.
• Follow technical specifications and safety guidelines for coating application in Oil & Gas environments.
• Inspect painted surfaces for consistency, thickness, and defects; perform touch-ups as needed.
• Maintain spray painting equipment, ensuring proper functionality and cleanliness.
• Work collaboratively with supervisors and team members to meet project deadlines.
• Adhere to all company safety policies and industry regulations (OSHA, NACE, or equivalent standards).

Skills & Qualifications

Essential Requirements:

• 5-10 years of experience as a Spray Painter in the Oil & Gas, Construction, or Industrial sectors.
• Proficiency in surface preparation techniques (abrasive blasting, power tool cleaning, etc.).
• Expertise in operating HVLP, airless, and conventional spray systems.
• Knowledge of protective coatings (epoxy, polyurethane, zinc-rich primers) and their application methods.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, coating specifications, and MSDS documents.
• Strong attention to detail and quality control.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Diploma or Certification in Painting, Coatings, or a related field.
• Familiarity with NACE/SSPC or other industry-standard certifications.
• Experience working in UAE/GCC-based Oil & Gas projects.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

This role requires working in challenging conditions, including:

• Outdoor/onsite locations in Abu Dhabi's Oil & Gas facilities.
• Exposure to fumes, chemicals, and high noise levels (with provided PPE).
• Frequent standing, bending, and lifting of materials (up to 25 kg).
• Willingness to work overtime or shifts as per project requirements.
