Spray Painter / GRE Applicator

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Spray Painter / GRE Applicator to join our Construction Department in Muscat, Oman. This is an exciting opportunity for an entry-level professional with an ITI certification in painting to work in the dynamic Oil & Gas and Engineering & Construction industry.

The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to perform high-quality spray painting and GRE (Glass Reinforced Epoxy) application tasks. Training will be provided, but basic knowledge of painting techniques is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and applying primers as needed.
• Operate and maintain spray painting equipment for industrial applications.
• Apply GRE coatings to pipes, tanks, and other industrial structures.
• Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate protective gear at all times.
• Inspect finished surfaces to ensure quality and uniformity of coatings.
• Assist in mixing paints and other coating materials to achieve desired consistency.
• Work collaboratively with the construction team to meet project deadlines.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Essential Skills:

• Basic knowledge of spray painting techniques and equipment.
• Understanding of surface preparation methods (cleaning, sanding, priming).
• Ability to work with GRE (Glass Reinforced Epoxy) coatings is a plus.
• Physical stamina to work in industrial environments.
• Attention to detail for high-quality finishing.

Education & Experience:

• ITI certification in Painting or a related field.
• 0-1 years of experience in spray painting or industrial coating application.
• Freshers with relevant training are encouraged to apply.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in the Oil & Gas or Construction industry.
• Familiarity with industry safety standards.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

This role involves working in industrial settings, including outdoor construction sites and confined spaces. Candidates should be prepared for:

• Exposure to fumes, dust, and varying temperatures.
• Standing for long periods and performing repetitive motions.
• Lifting and carrying materials up to 25 kg.
• Wearing protective gear such as masks, gloves, and safety goggles.
