About the Role
Asiapower Overseas Employment Services is seeking a skilled Spray Painter to join our dynamic team in the Oil & Gas Construction sector. This is a full-time position based in Muscat, Oman, within the Quality Control department, ensuring high standards of surface preparation and coating applications.
The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in spray painting, particularly in industrial or construction environments. A strong understanding of surface treatment, paint mixing, and application techniques is essential.
Job Responsibilities
As a Spray Painter, your primary duties will include:
- Preparing surfaces by cleaning, sandblasting, and applying primers.
- Mixing and applying paint, varnish, and other coatings using spray equipment.
- Ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards in the Oil & Gas industry.
- Inspecting finished coatings for consistency, thickness, and defects.
- Maintaining and cleaning spray equipment for optimal performance.
- Following project specifications and industry best practices.
- Collaborating with the Quality Control team to meet project deadlines.
- Documenting work progress and reporting issues to supervisors.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Essential Skills:
- Proficiency in spray painting techniques for industrial applications.
- Knowledge of paint mixing, thinning, and viscosity adjustments.
- Ability to operate and maintain spray guns, compressors, and related tools.
- Familiarity with protective coatings, primers, and epoxy paints.
- Strong attention to detail in surface preparation and finishing.
- Understanding of safety protocols in hazardous environments.
Education & Experience:
- Graduation or Diploma in a relevant field (e.g., Painting Technology, Industrial Coating).
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience in spray painting, preferably in Oil & Gas or Construction.
- Certification in surface coating or industrial painting is a plus.
