Spray Painter Job – Oil & Gas Construction Industry

About the Role

Asiapower Overseas Employment Services is seeking a skilled Spray Painter to join our dynamic team in the Oil & Gas Construction sector. This is a full-time position based in Muscat, Oman, within the Quality Control department, ensuring high standards of surface preparation and coating applications.

The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in spray painting, particularly in industrial or construction environments. A strong understanding of surface treatment, paint mixing, and application techniques is essential.

Job Responsibilities

As a Spray Painter, your primary duties will include:

• Preparing surfaces by cleaning, sandblasting, and applying primers.
• Mixing and applying paint, varnish, and other coatings using spray equipment.
• Ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards in the Oil & Gas industry.
• Inspecting finished coatings for consistency, thickness, and defects.
• Maintaining and cleaning spray equipment for optimal performance.
• Following project specifications and industry best practices.
• Collaborating with the Quality Control team to meet project deadlines.
• Documenting work progress and reporting issues to supervisors.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Essential Skills:

• Proficiency in spray painting techniques for industrial applications.
• Knowledge of paint mixing, thinning, and viscosity adjustments.
• Ability to operate and maintain spray guns, compressors, and related tools.
• Familiarity with protective coatings, primers, and epoxy paints.
• Strong attention to detail in surface preparation and finishing.
• Understanding of safety protocols in hazardous environments.

Education & Experience:

• Graduation or Diploma in a relevant field (e.g., Painting Technology, Industrial Coating).
• 3-5 years of hands-on experience in spray painting, preferably in Oil & Gas or Construction.
• Certification in surface coating or industrial painting is a plus.
