Sr. Construction Supervisor (Offshore)

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Sr. Construction Supervisor (Offshore) to oversee and manage offshore construction projects in Qatar's Oil & Gas sector. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in supervising offshore construction operations, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and leading teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate offshore construction activities, ensuring adherence to project specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards.
• Lead and manage construction teams, including subcontractors, to achieve project milestones efficiently.
• Oversee daily operations, including material handling, equipment deployment, and workforce allocation.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement corrective actions to mitigate delays.
• Ensure compliance with HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) policies and conduct regular safety audits.
• Liaise with engineers, project managers, and clients to provide updates and resolve technical issues.
• Review construction drawings, blueprints, and schematics to verify alignment with onsite execution.
• Prepare and submit construction reports, including progress, challenges, and resource utilization.
• Train and mentor junior staff to enhance team performance and technical skills.
• Manage procurement and logistics for construction materials and equipment.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Essential Skills

• 10+ years of experience in offshore construction supervision, preferably in the Oil & Gas industry.
• Strong expertise in construction project management, workforce coordination, and safety compliance.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, P&IDs, and schematics.
• In-depth knowledge of offshore construction techniques, rigging, and heavy equipment operations.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills to manage multicultural teams.
• Familiarity with HSE regulations, risk assessments, and incident reporting.

Educational Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering (or related field).
• Certifications in Offshore Safety (e.g., BOSIET, H2S Awareness) are highly desirable.
