Sr Cost Control Engineer – Civil/Mech

About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Sr Cost Control Engineer – Civil/Mech to join our dynamic team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, working on the prestigious ARAMCO project. This role is critical for ensuring cost efficiency and budget adherence in our oil & gas construction projects.

The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing cost control measures, monitoring budgets, conducting variance analysis, and providing actionable insights to optimize project expenditures. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring alignment with financial objectives.
• Monitor and analyze cost variances, identifying trends and recommending corrective actions.
• Prepare detailed cost reports, forecasts, and financial statements for stakeholders.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to optimize cost performance.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Review and approve contractor invoices, change orders, and payment applications.
• Conduct risk assessments related to cost overruns and propose mitigation strategies.
• Support the procurement team in evaluating bids and negotiating contracts.
• Maintain accurate cost databases and historical records for future reference.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to junior cost control staff.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Proven expertise in budget monitoring and variance analysis.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in cost control software (e.g., SAP, Primavera, MS Project).
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Education & Experience

• Graduation/Diploma in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• 5-10 years of experience in cost control within the oil & gas construction industry.
• Prior experience working on ARAMCO projects or similar large-scale construction ventures is highly desirable.

Job Location & Work Environment
