Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties

As our Senior VRF Technician, you will be the technical authority on all VRF system operations, performing complex diagnostics and implementing solutions for optimal system performance. Your expertise will ensure reliability and efficiency across all assigned facilities.

Technical VRF System Maintenance

• Perform advanced troubleshooting and diagnostic procedures on VRF systems to identify malfunctions and performance issues
• Conduct preventive maintenance schedules for VRF systems including cleaning, parts replacement, and system optimization
• Execute complex repairs on VRF system components including compressors, inverters, controllers, and refrigerant circuits
• Manage refrigerant handling including recovery, recycling, and recharging in compliance with environmental regulations
• Commission new VRF installations and system expansions, ensuring proper configuration and integration
• Util specialized diagnostic tools and software for system performance monitoring and fault analysis

Technical Leadership & Documentation

• Lead a team of junior technicians in executing complex VRF maintenance projects and emergency repairs
• Develop and maintain comprehensive service reports, maintenance records, and system documentation
• Provide technical guidance and training to maintenance staff on VRF system operation and safety protocols
• Coordinate with facilities managers to prioritize maintenance tasks and minimize system downtime
• Manage inventory of critical spare parts and specialized tools required for VRF system maintenance
• Implement energy optimization strategies to improve system efficiency and reduce operational costs

Client Relations & Safety Compliance

• Serve as primary technical contact for client inquiries regarding VRF system performance and maintenance
• Ensure all work complies with UAE safety regulations and manufacturer specifications
• Conduct system performance audits and provide recommendations for upgrades or improvements
• Respond to emergency service calls and implement corrective actions to restore system functionality
• Maintain certification requirements and stay current with evolving VRF technologies and techniques

Qualifications & Technical Requirements

Our ideal Senior VRF Technician candidate will possess a combination of formal education, technical certifications, and extensive hands-on experience with complex VRF systems in commercial settings.

Education & Certification

• Graduation/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, or related technical field
• EPA 608 Certification or equivalent refrigerant handling license mandatory
• Manufacturer-specific VRF system certifications (Daikin, Mitsubishi Electric, Fujitsu, or Samsung)
• UAE driving license preferred for service vehicle operation
• Additional certifications in electrical systems or building automation preferred

Technical Experience

• 5-10 years of hands-on experience in VRF system installation, maintenance, and repair
• Proven expertise in troubleshooting complex VRF system faults using manufacturer software
• Extensive knowledge of refrigerant cycle principles and advanced HVAC concepts
• Experience with electrical diagnostics including three-phase power systems and control circuits
• Familiarity with building management systems and VRF system integration
• Background in facility management or maintenance services within the UAE/GCC region

Required Skills & Competencies

• Expert-level diagnostic and problem-solving abilities for complex HVAC systems
• Proficiency with specialized tools including manifold gauges, leak detectors, vacuum pumps, multimeters
• Advanced understanding of VRF system programming and configuration parameters
• Strong knowledge of UAE regulations regarding refrigerant handling and HVAC standards
• Ability to interpret technical manuals, electrical schematics, and building blueprints
