Key Responsibilities
As a Stand / Cassette Maintenance Helper, your primary duties will include:
- Assisting in the maintenance and repair of stands and cassettes used in manufacturing equipment.
- Performing routine inspections to identify wear and tear, and reporting issues to the senior maintenance team.
- Supporting in the disassembly, cleaning, lubrication, and reassembly of mechanical components.
- Following safety protocols and ensuring compliance with workplace safety standards.
- Keeping detailed records of maintenance activities and reporting any recurring issues.
- Working closely with engineers and other team members to troubleshoot mechanical failures.
- Operating hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment under supervision.
- Assisting in the installation and alignment of new stands and cassettes.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
- Participating in training sessions to stay updated with new technologies and procedures.
Requirements
Education & Certification
- ITI certification in Mechanical Fitter, Diesel Mechanic, or related field.
- Additional vocational training in mechanical maintenance is a plus.
Experience
- 3-5 years of experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Hands-on experience with mechanical tools and equipment.
- Familiarity with preventive maintenance procedures.
Skills
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems and components.
- Basic knowledge of welding and fabrication is advantageous.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Physical stamina to handle manual tasks and lift heavy equipment.
Work Environment
This role involves working in a manufacturing facility with exposure to noise, dust, and machinery. Candidates must be comfortable:
- Standing for extended periods.
- Lifting and carrying heavy objects (up to 25 kg).
- Working in shifts, including nights and weekends if required.
- Adhering to strict safety guidelines.
