Key Responsibilities

As a Steel Fixer, you will play a crucial role in structural reinforcement projects, ensuring the integrity and safety of construction frameworks. Your key duties will include:

• Cutting, bending, and fixing steel bars (rebar) according to project specifications.
• Reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and construction plans.
• Ensuring proper alignment, spacing, and secure fastening of steel reinforcements.
• Working closely with engineers, foremen, and other construction professionals.
• Operating and maintaining steel fabrication tools and equipment safely.
• Adhering to health and safety regulations on construction sites.
• Repairing damaged or incorrectly placed steel reinforcements.
• Performing quality checks to ensure compliance with industry standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in steel fabrication, including cutting, bending, and tying rebar.
• Ability to read and interpret structural blueprints.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials and reinforcement techniques.
• Experience with power tools and welding equipment.
• Physical stamina and ability to work in challenging environments.

Education & Certification

• ITI Certification in Welding, Fabrication, or a related field.
• Additional vocational training in steel fixing is a plus.

Experience

• 3-5 years of hands-on experience in steel fixing or construction reinforcement.
• Prior work in high-rise buildings, bridges, or industrial projects is preferred.
