Key Responsibilities

As a Steel Fixer, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints for reinforcement requirements.
• Cutting, bending, and fixing steel bars (rebar) as per project specifications.
• Ensuring proper alignment, spacing, and tying of reinforcement materials.
• Working with concrete formwork to prepare for pouring.
• Liaising with engineers, foremen, and other construction professionals.
• Adhering to safety regulations and maintaining a hazard-free work environment.
• Inspecting finished work to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Performing routine maintenance on tools and equipment.
• Assisting in other construction-related tasks as required.

Required Skills & Qualifications

The ideal candidate should possess the following skills and qualifications:

• Experience: 3-5 years of hands-on experience as a Steel Fixer in the construction or oil & gas industry.
• Education: Diploma or Graduation in a relevant field (civil engineering, construction, or related discipline).
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in reading blueprints, using steel fixing tools, and working with rebar.
• Physical Fitness: Ability to work in harsh weather conditions and lift heavy materials.
• Safety Awareness: Strong knowledge of construction safety protocols.
• Teamwork: Ability to collaborate effectively with construction teams.
• Certifications: Any relevant certifications in steel fixing or occupational safety are a plus.

Work Environment

This role is on-site and requires physical labor in an oil & gas construction setting. Candidates should be prepared to work in varying weather conditions and adhere to strict safety guidelines.
