Steel Foreman – Construction & Maintenance

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Steel Foreman to oversee structural steel projects in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of hands-on experience in steel fabrication, erection, and maintenance, with strong leadership skills to manage teams efficiently.

This role involves ensuring compliance with safety regulations, coordinating with engineers and contractors, and maintaining high-quality workmanship in line with project deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage steel erection, fabrication, and welding teams on-site.
• Ensure compliance with project blueprints, safety standards, and structural integrity.
• Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and project managers to meet deadlines.
• Conduct quality inspections and troubleshoot structural issues.
• Train and mentor junior team members in steelwork best practices.
• Monitor resource allocation, including materials, tools, and manpower.
• Maintain accurate records of daily progress, inspections, and incident reports.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Essential Skills:

• Proven experience in structural steel supervision (3-5 years).
• Strong knowledge of steel fabrication, welding, and erection techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
• Familiarity with OSHA (or equivalent UAE safety regulations).
• Leadership and team management skills.

Education & Certifications:

• ITI certification or diploma in Welding/Steel Fabrication.
• Relevant safety training certifications (preferred).

Soft Skills:

• Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Strong communication for cross-team collaboration.
• Attention to detail for quality assurance.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

This is an on-site role in Abu Dhabi, requiring adaptability to outdoor construction conditions. Candidates should be prepared for:

• Extended periods of standing, climbing, and lifting heavy materials.
• Exposure to varying weather conditions (heat, dust, etc.).
• Adherence to strict PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) protocols.
