Structural BIM Engineer Job Description

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Structural BIM Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Structural Modeling, BIM Coordination, and construction project execution.

As a Structural BIM Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing and managing Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes for large-scale construction projects. You will collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure accurate and efficient project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed 3D structural models using BIM software (Revit, Tekla, etc.).
• Perform clash detection and coordination between structural, architectural, and MEP models.
• Generate construction drawings, material schedules, and fabrication details.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and project specifications.
• Collaborate with project stakeholders to resolve design discrepancies.
• Assist in the preparation of technical reports and project documentation.
• Train and mentor junior engineers on BIM best practices.
• Stay updated with the latest BIM technologies and construction methodologies.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in BIM software (Revit, Tekla Structures, Navisworks, etc.).
• Expertise in structural modeling for concrete, steel, and composite structures.
• Strong knowledge of construction standards (ACI, AISC, Eurocodes, etc.).
• Experience with clash detection and resolution.
• Familiarity with project management tools like AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar.

Soft Skills

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in modeling.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Civil/Structural Engineering or related field.
• 5-10 years of hands-on experience in structural BIM engineering.
• Prior experience working in the construction industry (preferably in the Middle East).
