Roles & Responsibilities
As a Structural Supervisor, you will be responsible for:
- Supervising structural construction activities, ensuring adherence to project specifications and safety standards.
- Leading and coordinating teams of engineers, technicians, and laborers on-site.
- Inspecting and approving materials, equipment, and workmanship for structural integrity.
- Preparing and reviewing technical reports, drawings, and project documentation.
- Ensuring compliance with local regulations, codes, and industry best practices.
- Identifying and resolving structural issues or delays promptly.
- Collaborating with project managers, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure timely project completion.
- Conducting risk assessments and implementing corrective actions to mitigate hazards.
- Providing technical guidance and training to junior staff.
- Maintaining accurate records of project progress, inspections, and incidents.
Requirements
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Civil/Structural Engineering or a related field.
- Certification in Construction Supervision or Project Management is preferred.
- OSHA or equivalent safety certification is a plus.
Experience & Skills
- 5-10 years of experience in structural supervision within the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industry.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- In-depth knowledge of construction materials, methods, and safety protocols.
- Familiarity with industry software (e.g., AutoCAD, SAP2000, STAAD.Pro).
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
