Supervisor Instrument – Oil & Gas Industry

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Supervisor Instrument to oversee instrumentation operations within our Oil & Gas facility in Kuwait. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in instrumentation supervision, ensuring the efficient functioning of control systems, troubleshooting malfunctions, and maintaining compliance with industry standards. This full-time role is based in Jaber Al Ahmad, Kuwait City, and requires a proactive professional with strong technical and leadership skills.

Job Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the installation, calibration, maintenance, and repair of instrumentation and control systems.
• Ensure all instruments operate efficiently and comply with safety and quality standards in the Oil & Gas sector.
• Lead a team of technicians, providing guidance and technical support.
• Monitor system performance and diagnose faults, implementing corrective actions promptly.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize instrumentation processes.
• Prepare and maintain detailed reports on instrument performance, maintenance activities, and compliance logs.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure adherence to regulatory and company policies.
• Assist in the planning and execution of shutdown and turnaround activities.
• Maintain an inventory of spare parts and requisition materials as needed.

Required Qualifications

Education & Experience

• A Graduation or Diploma in Instrumentation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in instrumentation supervision, preferably in the Oil & Gas industry.
• Strong knowledge of control systems, PLCs, SCADA, and field instrumentation.

Skills & Competencies

• Proven supervision and leadership abilities.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, P&IDs, and loop diagrams.
• Familiarity with industry standards such as ISA, IEC, and API.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations.

Work Environment

This role is based in an industrial setting within the Oil & Gas sector. The Supervisor Instrument will work on-site in Jaber Al Ahmad, Kuwait City, with potential exposure to outdoor conditions and rotating shifts. Safety protocols and PPE compliance are mandatory.
