We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Supervisor (Machinist) to join our Mechanical Engineering team in the Oil & Gas / Petrochemical industry. This is a full-time position based in Kuwait City, Al-Faiha’, and requires strong leadership and technical expertise in machining operations.

Key Responsibilities
As a Machinist Supervisor, you will oversee and manage machining operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, and quality in production. Your duties will include:
- Supervise and lead a team of machinists, providing guidance and technical support.
- Plan and schedule machining operations to meet project deadlines.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Inspect finished products to verify precision and adherence to specifications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues to minimize downtime.
- Coordinate with other departments (Quality Control, Maintenance, Engineering) to optimize workflows.
- Train and mentor junior machinists to enhance team skills.
- Maintain accurate records of production, equipment maintenance, and team performance.
- Source and recommend upgrades for machining tools and equipment.
Required Skills & Qualifications
To excel in this role, candidates must possess the following:
Technical Skills
- Strong expertise in machining processes (CNC, manual lathes, milling, grinding, etc.).
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical blueprints and schematics.
- Knowledge of material properties (metals, alloys, composites) and machining techniques.
- Familiarity with precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, CMMs).
- Experience with CAD/CAM software is a plus.
Leadership & Soft Skills
- Proven supervisory experience in a machining or manufacturing environment.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Education & Experience
- Graduation or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 5-10 years of hands-on experience in machining, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
- Prior experience in the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industry preferred.
Work Environment & Physical Demands
This role involves working in an industrial setting with the following conditions:
- Exposure to loud noise, heavy machinery, and industrial hazards.
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory.
- Work may involve standing, lifting (up to 25 kg), and bending for extended periods.
- Shift work or overtime may be required based on project needs.
