Key Responsibilities

As a Mechanical Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing mechanical operations, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and leading a team of technicians. Key duties include:

• Supervising mechanical maintenance, repair, and installation of equipment in the Oil & Gas/Petrochemical sector.
• Planning and scheduling preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Ensuring all mechanical operations comply with safety regulations and company policies.
• Coordinating with engineering and operations teams to optimize mechanical systems.
• Leading troubleshooting efforts for mechanical failures and implementing corrective actions.
• Overseeing inventory management of mechanical spare parts and tools.
• Training and mentoring junior technicians and engineers.
• Preparing and reviewing technical reports and documentation.
• Collaborating with contractors and vendors for specialized mechanical services.

Required Skills & Qualifications

The ideal candidate for the Supervisor Mechanical role should possess the following skills and qualifications:

• Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience: 5-10 years of hands-on experience in mechanical supervision within the Oil & Gas/Petrochemical industry.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in mechanical systems, rotating equipment, pumps, and valves.
• Supervisory Skills: Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Safety Compliance: In-depth knowledge of industry safety standards (OSHA, API, ASME).
• Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Communication: Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Software Proficiency: Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) and MS Office.

Work Environment

This position is based in Kuwait City (Al-Faiha’) and requires on-site presence in an Oil & Gas/Petrochemical facility. The role involves working in a demanding industrial environment with exposure to heavy machinery, noise, and varying weather conditions. Safety gear and protocols are strictly enforced.
