JD Manpower Consultancy is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Supervisor Piping-Pipeline to oversee critical hydrocarbon transport infrastructure projects in the UAE. Based primarily in Ghantoot, Abu Dhabi, you will be responsible for leading a skilled team in the construction, maintenance, and integrity management of complex piping systems and subsea pipelines. Your expertise will directly contribute to the successful execution of some of the region's most significant energy projects.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

As our Piping-Pipeline Supervisor, you will be the on-site authority for all mechanical piping activities. Your core responsibilities will encompass a wide range of technical and leadership tasks essential to project success.

• Lead and supervise a team of pipefitters, welders, and technicians in the installation, alignment, testing, and maintenance of piping systems and pipelines.
• Interpret and ensure strict adherence to P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams), isometric drawings, and other technical documentation.
• Plan and coordinate daily work activities, allocating resources efficiently to meet project schedules and milestones without compromising on safety or quality.
• Enforce rigorous compliance with all company safety policies, international standards (ASME, API, ANSI), and client-specific requirements, conducting regular toolbox talks and safety audits.
• Oversee all quality control and assurance processes, including inspections, hydrostatic testing, non-destructive testing (NDT), and documentation of work packs.
• Liaise and coordinate effectively with project managers, engineers, client representatives, and other construction disciplines to ensure seamless project integration.
• Monitor and control material usage, manage tool and equipment inventories, and report on daily progress, challenges, and resource needs.
• Identify and troubleshoot technical issues related to piping stress, support, alignment, and material compatibility, providing practical solutions.
• Mentor and train junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence.

Candidate Requirements & Qualifications

To be considered for this senior Supervisor Piping-Pipeline role, candidates must demonstrate a proven track record in the Oil & Gas sector and possess the following credentials:

Education & Certification

• A Graduation or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
• Certifications in relevant safety courses (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA) are highly desirable.
• Certified welding inspector (CWI) or NDT certification would be a significant advantage.

Experience & Technical Skills

• A minimum of 5-10 Years of progressive experience in a piping/pipeline supervision role, specifically within the Oil & Gas industry.
• Extensive hands-on knowledge of pipe fabrication, welding procedures, flange management, and valve installation.
• Deep familiarity with international codes and standards such as ASME B31.3, B31.4, B31.8, and API standards.
• Proven experience working on both onshore (plant piping) and offshore (subsea pipelines) projects is critical.
• Demonstrable experience in reading and interpreting complex engineering drawings and isometrics.
