Supervisor (Rigging) – Oil & Gas / Petrochemical Industry

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Rigging Supervisor to oversee rigging operations in the Oil & Gas / Petrochemical industry. The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of hands-on experience in rigging, with strong leadership skills to manage teams and ensure safety compliance. This role is based in Kuwait City, Kuwait, and requires on-site presence.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and supervise rigging operations to ensure safe and efficient execution.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
• Lead and mentor a team of rigging personnel, providing guidance and training as needed.
• Inspect rigging equipment, tools, and machinery to ensure they meet safety and operational requirements.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other departments to align rigging activities with project timelines.
• Prepare and review rigging plans, load charts, and lift plans.
• Identify potential hazards and implement corrective measures to mitigate risks.
• Maintain accurate records of rigging operations, including inspections, incidents, and equipment maintenance.
• Ensure proper storage and handling of rigging materials and equipment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues related to rigging.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Essential Skills:

• Extensive knowledge of rigging techniques, equipment, and safety protocols.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and lift plans.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with OSHA, ANSI, and other relevant safety standards.

Education & Experience:

• Graduation or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 5-10 years of experience in rigging, preferably in the Oil & Gas / Petrochemical sector.
• Certification in rigging or heavy lifting (e.g., NCCCO, API Rigging Certification) is a plus.
• Prior experience in a supervisory or leadership role is mandatory.
