Job Opening: Supervisor (Valve Shop)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Supervisor (Valve Shop) to oversee operations in our Oil & Gas / Petrochemical facility in Kuwait. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in valve maintenance, repair, and supervision within the engineering department. This is a full-time, on-site position requiring hands-on leadership to ensure efficient workflow and compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily operations in the Valve Shop, ensuring timely and high-quality repairs.
• Lead and manage a team of technicians, providing guidance and training as needed.
• Monitor valve inspection, maintenance, and testing procedures to meet safety and performance standards.
• Coordinate with other departments (e.g., engineering, procurement) to ensure smooth workflow.
• Maintain accurate records of valve repairs, inventory, and compliance documentation.
• Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and environmental standards.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and provide solutions for valve-related problems.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Education:

• Graduation or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

Experience:

• 5-10 years of experience in valve maintenance and supervision within the Oil & Gas / Petrochemical industry.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively.

Technical Skills:

• In-depth knowledge of valve types (e.g., gate, globe, ball, check) and their repair processes.
• Familiarity with industry standards (API, ASME, ANSI) for valve testing and maintenance.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and software for valve inspections.

Soft Skills:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Strong organizational and multitasking capabilities.

Work Environment

This position is based in Kuwait City, Al Asimah, and requires on-site presence at our Al-Faiha’ facility. The role may involve working in high-temperature conditions, adhering to strict safety protocols, and occasional overtime to meet project deadlines.
