Job Responsibilities

As a Supervisor (Welding & Fabrication), your key responsibilities will include:

• Overseeing welding and fabrication operations to ensure compliance with industry standards and project specifications.
• Supervising, training, and mentoring welding and fabrication teams.
• Ensuring adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations.
• Coordinating with engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to meet deadlines.
• Inspecting welds and fabricated components for quality assurance.
• Managing resources, including manpower, materials, and equipment, to optimize efficiency.
• Preparing and maintaining reports on project progress, workforce productivity, and materials usage.
• Troubleshooting technical issues related to welding and fabrication processes.
• Implementing continuous improvement strategies to enhance operational performance.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills:

• Proven experience in supervising welding and fabrication teams in the Oil & Gas industry.
• Strong knowledge of welding techniques (e.g., TIG, MIG, SMAW, FCAW) and fabrication processes.
• Familiarity with industry standards such as ASME, API, and AWS.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Proficiency in using welding and fabrication equipment.

Educational Requirements:

• Diploma or Graduation in Welding Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications in welding and fabrication (e.g., CSWIP, AWS) are preferred.

Experience:

• 5-10 years of hands-on experience in welding and fabrication, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
• Prior experience in the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical sector is mandatory.

Work Environment

This role is based in a high-demand industrial setting with the following conditions:

• On-site work in Kuwait City, Al-Faiha'.
• Exposure to heavy machinery, hazardous materials, and high-temperature environments.
• Requirement to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
