Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Surveyor (Overhead Line/Template Settings) to join our Engineering team in Kuwait's thriving Oil & Gas industry. The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of experience in maintenance and surveying, with a focus on overhead line and template settings. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed surveys of overhead power lines, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
- Perform template setting and alignment checks for Oil & Gas infrastructure projects.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure accurate data collection and reporting.
- Maintain and calibrate surveying equipment to ensure precision in measurements.
- Prepare technical reports, diagrams, and maps based on survey findings.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies in survey data to prevent project delays.
- Ensure adherence to environmental and safety guidelines during surveying activities.
- Assist in planning and executing maintenance schedules for overhead lines and related infrastructure.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Maintenance Expertise: Proven experience in maintaining overhead line and template settings.
- Technical Proficiency: Ability to operate surveying tools such as theodolites, GPS, and laser levels.
- Analytical Thinking: Strong problem-solving skills to interpret survey data accurately.
- Attention to Detail: Keen eye for identifying structural or measurement inconsistencies.
Education & Certifications
- Graduation or Diploma in Engineering, Surveying, or a related field.
- Certification in Surveying or Geographic Information Systems (GIS) is a plus.
- Relevant Oil & Gas industry certifications (if applicable).
Experience Requirements
The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of hands-on experience in surveying, particularly in the Oil & Gas sector. Prior work involving overhead power lines and template settings is mandatory.
Experience in project coordination, team collaboration, and fieldwork supervision will be highly regarded.
Work Environment
This role is based in Jibla, Kuwait City, and requires on-site presence. Candidates should be prepared to work in challenging outdoor conditions, including extreme temperatures typical of the region.
The position involves travel to project sites and occasional extended work hours to meet project deadlines.
