Key Responsibilities and Duties
As a Structural Surveyor within our Civil Engineering department, you will be entrusted with a wide array of critical tasks essential to the success and safety of our Oil & Gas projects. Your primary focus will be on conducting precise measurements and providing accurate data that forms the foundation for all structural engineering work.
- Execute detailed topographical surveys and precise land measurement for project sites, establishing accurate control points and benchmarks.
- Perform structural surveys on existing infrastructure, including pipelines, platforms, and support structures, to assess condition, alignment, and deformation.
- Operate and maintain advanced surveying instruments such as total stations, GPS/GNSS systems, levels, and 3D laser scanners with a high degree of proficiency.
- Collect, process, and analyze spatial data using specialized software, ensuring all information is accurate and reliable for engineering design and construction teams.
- Prepare comprehensive survey reports, drawings, and maps that clearly communicate findings to project managers, engineers, and stakeholders.
- Verify the accuracy of survey data, including measurements and calculations conducted at survey sites, to prevent errors and ensure compliance with project specifications.
- Collaborate closely with civil engineers, project managers, and construction teams to provide timely survey support and resolve any layout or alignment issues.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety protocols and industry regulations, particularly those specific to Oil & Gas operations, ensuring a safe working environment at all times.
- Manage survey equipment inventory, calibrate instruments regularly, and coordinate equipment servicing to maintain optimal functionality.
